Creating Ticket Upgrades & Add Ons

Ticket Upgrades are a great way to offer customers an additional experience; such as upgraded seating, VIP meet & greet, or a bar package during the checkout process. Upgrades are automatically sold in the same quantities as tickets, so if a customer has 4 tickets and they opt-in for an upgrade, they will get 4 upgrades with their tickets. If a venue wants to offer something, such as valet parking or a product they do not want to be linked to ticket purchases, selling these items as Add-Ons is ideal. For more information on Add Ons, please see the Add On section below.

  • Go to admin.seatengine.com and enter the user credentials. Click MANAGE underneath the venue name.
  • Click STORE in the left-hand navigation menu & then select TICKET UPGRADES.

  • Click the blue NEW UPGRADE button in the upper right corner.

  • Add a name, price & quantity for the ticket upgrade and then select CREATE TICKET UPGRADE

  • Once the upgrades are created, they will appear when editing ticket sections in the event creation process.

Creating Add Ons

Add Ons serve as a way for a venue to offer an additional service or product to customers during the checkout process. Items or services such as valet parking or a t-shirt would be sold as an add on. The system cannot force customers to purchase the same quantity of add-ons as they are purchasing tickets, so if a venue would like to sell a VIP meet & greet or anything that would be considered an "upgrade" to the existing ticket, this service should be offered as a Ticket Upgrade instead. If this is the case, please reference the Ticket Upgrades section above.

  • Click STORE in the left-hand navigation menu & then select ADD ONS.
  • Click the blue button that says NEW ADD ON

  • Fill in the name of the add on, the price, quantity per show, description & image. Once these are complete, click CREATE ADD ON

**Once Ticket Upgrades or Add Ons are created, users will see the Upgrades & Add Ons as an option to select during the event building / editing process. When creating / editing the ticket sections, users will see Add Ons and Upgrades listed as well.
